Animal Census Brings to Light the Insensitivity of Nigerian Government

In an unexpected turn of events – considering all the problems that has befallen Nigeria, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Audu Ogbeh released a census of livestock on Thursday at a news conference in Abuja.

According to the minister, the census was carried out in 2011with the estimation of 19.5 million cattle, 72.5 million goats, 41.3 million sheep, 7.1 million pigs and 28,000 camels.

The census on it’s own is not the problem but there are pressing issues that need urgent attention, how about they talk about how to solve the problem tomato scarcity in the country. That goes to show what our priorities are in this country.
